St Croix Rams $200
Sevierville, TN
back
We have for sale Purebred (but not registered) Saint Croix Sheep.
We currently have available:
One yearling ram
Two ram lambs
Available - St Croix Ram Yearling "Brie" - $300 -
Brie was born on June 24, 2023 to one of the best ewes in our flock. Brie is a twin, and him and his twin were a whopping 13lbs at birth (average is 6-7 lbs) and very healthy. He is friendly and will come to you and eat from your hand, he follows a feed bucket, and will follow me in the pasture, he loves neck scratches and belly rubs. Great top line and form. Will be an excellent sire for a starter flock. He is currently intact, and ready for his own flock. Dam has a great udder, and lambed to big twins with no help. Brie is related by half to Chai.
Available - St Croix Ram Lamb "Loki" - $200 - Pictured with "Thor"
Born - May 7, 2024.
Single ram
9 lbs at birth
20.5 lbs at 29 days old
Dam raised and weaned.
Dam is all white.
Available - St Croix Ram Lamb "Thor" - $200 - Pictured with "Loki"
Born - May 20, 2024
Single ram
21 lbs at 17 days old
Dam raised, and weaned.
Dam has a few brown spots.
All of our sheep are rotationally grazed. They are moved to a new paddock every four days using two strand electric wire. The sheep are used to hogs, chickens, and LGDs.
Ewes in their last third of gestation and first three weeks of lactation are given a supplementary amount of grain with free choice hay and access to pasture. Rams, early gestation ewes, late lactation ewes, and naturally weaned lambs are mostly grass fed and occasionally given grain to help move them to a new paddock. All sheep are sold with their hooves trimmed recently. These sheep are rotationally grazed and given salt licks, and free choice minerals. Interesting fact... this year I put out free choice garlic powder, the sheep will eat it straight, and this year I’ve seen only one tick on one of the sheep and hardly any flies around.
Our Saint Croix Sheep are great foragers, they’ll eat poison ivy, ironweed (that stuff is invasive in our area!), false nettle (also abundant here), and a whole bunch of other weeds, and they are not picky like most goats.
Located in Sevierville, TN. Sheep are used to barbed, woven, electric fencing (all in different pastures).
Delivery is available for a fee.
No calls due to the bad reception in our area. If you are interested in more than one of the sheep, let me know and I will give you a discounted offer. If I don’t respond within a day or two, please feel free to send another email which should send to my inbox.
Thanks!
