These hair sheep are multi purpose breed. They were originally bred to control grown up power lines. Much like goats, they do a great job clearing. Katahdins are also used as milking sheep. Most ewes will produce 2 lambs giving a lot of milk. Sheep milk is used for a variety of things such as making soaps, cheeses, or yogurts. They also are great for meat production giving a superior taste.
