Purebred Jubilee English Orpington laying hens $75 each. Take four for $65 each. These are all young hens that I hatched and raised last Spring and Summer. Jubilees are very good hens and great layers. Jubilees were originally imported from Great Britain and haven’t been in the US too long.

Jubilee English Orpington pairs (one hen and one rooster) auctioned off at the sales this year for $220 a pair, reportedly.

Jubilee hens are big gentle hens and are some of the best layers I have ever had, laying more eggs in the fall than most hens do. I don’t have any other poultry or animals besides the Jubilees. I don’t have too many left to sell and would like to keep about half of them.

They are all full feathered and all are really nice with no picked hens. They get turned out early every morning and have a good place to run and get grass and look for bugs.

Jubilee English Orpingtons are not like the regular utility Orpingtons usually sold out of most hatcheries. They are larger, curvier and fuller feathered and more toward the exhibition type. They are my favorite of any chickens I have raised over the years.
