Seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Auto/Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles, with a focus on diesel engines. You’ll work in a dynamic environment, performing a wide range of services and repairs to ensure our fleet operates at peak performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair diesel engines and related systems, including electrical, hydraulic, transmission, and brake systems.
Perform routine maintenance, such as oil changes, fluid checks, tire rotations, and inspections.
Utilize diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately and efficiently.
Maintain detailed records of work completed and parts used.
Ensure all repairs meet safety standards and regulations.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service.
Keep up-to-date with industry best practices and new vehicle models and technology.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; certification in automotive/diesel technology preferred.
Minimum of [X] years of experience in automotive or diesel repair.
Strong knowledge of diesel engines and various vehicle systems (electrical, hydraulic, etc.).
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
Familiarity with diagnostic equipment and repair tools.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record; CDL preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Comfortable standing, bending, and working in various weather conditions.
Manual dexterity and the ability to operate complex machinery.
