Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Layout/Fitter to work in our steel fabrication facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of blueprints, metal fabrication processes, and will be able to fit and assemble structural frameworks and metal parts.

Key Responsibilities:

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout and fitting requirements.
Lay out and fit steel and other metals to form structural frameworks or parts of metal products.
Use tools such as squares, rules, and calipers to ensure precision and accuracy.
Tack-weld fitted parts together to secure in position for welding.
Operate fabrication equipment, including drill presses, cutting machines, and welding machines.
Inspect completed work to ensure it meets the required specifications and quality standards.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure projects are completed on time.
Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Layout/Fitter in a steel fabrication environment.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents.
Proficiency in using measuring tools and fabrication equipment.
Strong knowledge of welding techniques and metal properties.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to work.
Physical stamina to stand, lift, and perform manual tasks throughout the workday.
