Model GSX-R 600

Year 2004
Type Sportbike
SOLD Available a new home is my 2004 Suzuki GSX-R600. I purchased this bike in September of 2019 and it’s been an absolute blast. The motorcycle had around 16k miles on it when purchased and currently is at 28,776.

The engine has had 0 issues and all maintenance has either been fluids, wear items and upgrades. This gsxr is mostly stock with a few small modifications. In the interest of saving time, I’ll outline what I’ve done with the motorcycle in the time I’ve had it and also include the few small issues it has.

==Title status
Clean Tennessee title, in my name, and you may see my license to verify ownership. The bike was purchased with cash and has never had a lien on it. The title is NOT rebuilt or salvage.

== Drivetrain
Absolutely no issues out of the engine. The bike shifts great and has had regular oil changes as well as 2 coolant flushes so far. I’ve only ran this motorcycle on ethanol free gas. Plenty of life and miles are left in it.

Air filter replaced last summer with new case gasket.

The engine oil is Motul 300v Synthetic, the coolant is Suzuki OEM ECStar SP-3H. OEM suzuki oil filters have been used during my ownership.

The chain is a black Vortex that was replaced 3 years ago, along with both sprockets. Stock gearing.

The exhaust is VooDoo Industries, great sound without being too loud.

== Wheels & Tires
Pirelli Angel GT II’s. These were put on summer of last year and have approx 300 miles on them. Stock size and ran at 34/36 PSI.

Stock black wheels, they could use a thorough cleaning and potentially paint as there are some patches from previous owners using clip on weights. Current wheels weights are motorcycle specific Motion-Pro stick ons.

== Brakes

All brake pads were replaced 3-4 years ago with EBC Double H Sintered pads on the front and rear. Motorcycle stops excellently.

The motorcycle has had 2 brake fluid flushes with DOT 4 brake fluid.

The REAR brake system has a very slow fluid leak. I believe its coming from the caliper but I haven’t had time to look into it. Once again, very slow leak. You can top it off and keep rolling, caliper rebuild kits are available online for DIYers.

Front brake system (dual calipers) are fine with no known issues.

== Body

Complete fairing replacement done last summer with black ebay fairings. They’re in like-new condition with only a few small scratches from road debris. The paint from the supplier is reasonable but there are a few runs. The bike has not been dropped since fairing replacement.

I replaced the stainless steel fairing bolt kit with a black painted bolt kit, these turned out to be prone to rust. Some of the bolts do have surface rust. Either touch up paint or taking it back to a stainless bolt kit would be a good fix here.

Kaoko throttle lock.

New frame sliders.

New seats (front and pillion).

New lighting (discussed in ‘electrical’ below). Rear fender eliminated, aftermarket flush mount turn signals as well as integrated tail light and LED tag light.

Headlight is the one that came with the motorcycle when I purchased it. It works great but has some sun damage. Could definitely use a headlight restoration to make it look new again.

New “flip” mirrors. Pictured.

Ebay shorty adjustable brake and clutch levers, placed a few years ago

I replaced the grips but I don’t like them. They work fine but they look weird in my opinion.

The motorcycle has a RAM cell phone mount. The rubber fingers as well as the gripper-pad-thing (I’m not sure what its called) were replaced late last year. The “RAM Mount” branding plate thing fell off as the glue melted during some intense sunlight. The mount still works fine though. I’m not keeping it because I wanna go to QuadLock on my next bike.

The fuel tank isn’t perfect, it has some scratches as well spots that are chipped. Would look great with a new coat of paint or a wrap. Doesn’t look terrible as-is though, just some minor flaws.

== Electrical

The motorcycle has some electrical modifications to make it a bit more practical, all wiring was completed using solder and heat shrink to be long lasting and corrosion/water resistant. Nothing was done by twisting wires together and slapping some electrical tape on.

12V/40amp Auxiliary fuse box with 4 circuits. The fuse box is activated by the silver switch (pictured below the USB charger). The first circuit is wired to the USB charger. 3 more circuits are available for whatever modifcations you’d like to add. It makes adding things like underglow, heated gear, audio or anything else easier and safer. The fuse box uses mini fuses. Indicator lights on the fuse box let’s you know if a circuit is active (blue) or if a fuse has blown/short has occurred (red).

USB Charger & Volt meter w/ Water Resistant Silicon Cover. The USB charger has two 30W USB-C PD ports and one USB-A 18W QuickCharge 3.0. Quickly charges your devices and works great. The volt meter tells you your current battery voltage. This is wired through the aux fuse box.

The horn does not work and didn’t when I purchased the bike. I’ve never bothered trying to replace it, if I need a horn I usually just blip the throttle and get the same result.

All other electrical controls and systems work correctly, including Turn Signals, Hazard Lights, High/Low Beam, Passing Light Toggle, Starter Button and Ignition Switch.
