I have cane plants available for sale. This cane is sometimes referred to as Spanish cane, Giant Reed, and botanical name is Arudo Donax. This cane is a perennial and will grow around a maximum height of 14 ft during the growing season. The reeds will die and dry out after creating its crowning stem of seeds that are typically sterile, and will regrow in the beginning of next spring. This cane can reach up to 1.5 inches in diameter, and is a good canidate for privacy screens/fences, erosion control, composting and mulching materials, and is also used in the making of reeds for instruments such as the saxophone and clarinet. It propagates through tubers that will usually expand in a clumping manner about a foot in radius each season after it's established. If you would like to purchase this cane it will come in the form of 2-5 shoots with a root ball approximately measuring around 18 in square. It currently is 8-14feet tall as of 8/27/24.
