This particular one is a 10 top finish in Mark's trademark Charcoal with a book matched quilt top, and unlike the majority of typical Tremonti models, this one offers a hybrid hardware upgrade, which looks absolutely amazing with the charcoal quilt. It also comes with a backplate that is signed by Mark! Lightly used.

Built in their top of the range Maryland, USA factory the Tremonti has been created under the perfect conditions with a mixture of both machine and hand manufacturing. This carefully crafted way of building guitars means that you get an instrument that is not only made to the mm, but it has also had the care and attention of someone hand-finishing and making sure this guitar still has that personal touch.

Constructed from a mahogany body and neck, they have been adorned with a stunning Carved Figured Maple 10 Top and Rosewood fingerboard respectively. This combination of woods offers a full, thick and warm sound that would please the ears of any guitar player.

It is not just about the sound though, as the feel of a guitar is just as important. The Mahogany neck has a very thin PRS carve based off of the 'Pattern Thin' design, although modified slightly to fit Mark's hands better for his signature chunky rhythms and soaring leads.

PRS like to make everything in-house when they can, and when it came to making the Tremonti it was no different. These pickups were custom-designed to deliver crushing high gain tones in the bridge position, and a rounded smoother sound in the neck that is perfect for leads and cleans. Tonally these still have the classic PRS character, just with a slight bit more bite so you can cut straight through a mix.

PRS doesn't just stop at pickups though. The PRS Gen III tremolo has a lot more control than you would expect with most classic-style trems, ensuring optimal tuning stability and tone. Made out of only the strongest materials available, this bridge is rooted deep into the guitar so you get amazing strength and resonance.


Aggressive, Articulate Tone

Mark Tremonti is one of rock’s leading guitarists. As the guitarist of Alter Bridge and Creed, he has met extraordinary success and continues to grow as both a guitar player and songwriter. While Creed was on tour in support of their first record, My Own Prison, Mark was contacted by PRS and asked if he would like to try one of their guitars.
"I jumped at the idea to play one of PRS’ guitars. PRS was one of those guitars that I could never afford in high school or college and had always wanted to play one." PRS sent Mark a McCarty model which he instantly fell in love with. He played that guitar exclusively for a while, but ultimately wanted a guitar that was more suited to his playing style.
Mark Tremonti began to collaborate with PRS on his dream guitar that would soon become the Mark Tremonti Signature. He needed pickups that were a little more aggressive and could complement his rhythm playing which contains a lot of palm muting. The neck of the guitar needed to accommodate his style, influenced by thrash metal, shred, and traditional blues. PRS met these needs with the Pattern Thin neck carve.
