Spotted Saddle Mare $1,500
Lancing, TN
back
Looking to find a soft landing for our wonderful SSH mare. Trudy is grade. She stands 15.2hh and is in her teens.
We purchased her at an auction and knew the risks…
She was just too nice of a horse to not take a chance on. She rides the best, super smooth and one hand neck reins. When we got her home and settled in we noticed a limp the next day. So we looked her over and didn’t feel any heat etc. we noticed she did have some nasty thrush so we finally got it cleared up and the limp wasn’t as bad but it was still there. We had X-rays done which confirmed ringbone. 😭
She was purchased as a trail mount for my husband which will never be applicable. We board so we do not have room to keep her as a pasture puff unfortunately. She’s is an exceptional mare with very minimal flaws aside from the ringbone. Very sweet and In your pocket. Loves attention!!! Our vet put her on Equioxx to make her comfortable and she gets around great. She will just never be able to handle the stress of a heavier rider or a long ride.
It’s heartbreaking to say the least because she was everything we were looking for in a horse for my husband and more.. we have also grown very attached in the months we have had her.
It was obvious that she was buted at the sale and if I were money hungry like any other horse trader I could bute her and lie and make a killing off her like what was done to me but this horse is wonderful and deserves much more than that and that’s not how I do business.
Delivery available anywhere if needed.
She has a clean coggins but go figure the age is not correct. Photos are of current X-rays (a week ago)
She will need to stay on the Equioxx forever. It runs around 100 for a two month supply and you can continue the prescription and refills through my vet if needed (he’s in fentress co)
