SOLD Meet Maggie!
Maggie is a gorgeous 17-18 year old TWH mare that stands 15.2hh. She has a very good handle on her, one hand neck reins and has the smoothest pocket lope. She stands to be groomed, will pick up all four feet and leads wonderfully. She will be the first one to the gate to greet you too. She loads and unloads easily and is shod in the front currently. She will stand tied but like most TWH, she can be antsy and likes to see what’s going on and will move around a little sometimes. She stands to mount and dismount and does not do anything funny business under saddle. The people I bought her from had their young kid riding her and even had both their small children doubling on her. I’d say a CONFIDENT beginner would be a good fit for her because she will go if asked. She will walk all day if you ask her to but if you do want her to get up and go, give her some leg pressure and a click and she’ll go into the next gait. She’s middle of the herd with other mares and geldings. She doesn’t spook easily. I had her around traffic, a tractor and other annoyances and she didn’t seem to care a bit. We took her on all the obstacles at East Fork Stables and she did them all with ease. She’ll cross water and climb any terrain you ask her to. She doesn’t care for a bit much and rides best with a Hackamore. She has good brakes and listens well under saddle. She does well with other animals such as goats and pigs and I wouldn’t say she has any vices that I have found so far.
She is a fantastic trail horse, a good step up horse for a kid wanting something for play day events or shows or really just about anything! I have tons of videos, just ask!
Can’t beat how pretty she is too, pictures just don’t do her justice so come check her out. 🩵
