I am DEVASTATED to have to give up my rottie. We have had an extremely difficult time finding a new place because of the size and breed of our dog. We all love him dearly but we have been stuck in unconventional circumstances because of him. I can not continue putting my pride first, we have to let the dog go. As i mentioned already, I deeply love this dog. However, I have to put my family duty first and when we were forced out of a home we had signed a 5 year lease on, we had no where to go and have been searching for 6 months with zero luck. Plenty of places, just none that will accept him. He is smart, but also stubborn and needs some more obedience training. Both adults in this house work so we only got about an hour a day of training time. He’s learned a lot but still has a long way to go. He’s barely a year old. Birthday was May 27th. He is GREAT with kids and cats although he does like to play with the cats as he would another dog. (He was raised with a kitten) he catches bugs and birds just like a cat but he won’t leave the carcass in front of your door. I added a rehoming fee for only one reason; even tho we did pay $2000 for him, the fee is not to get any money back, it’s to make sure that he goes to a GOOD AND FINANCIALLY STABLE HOME so that I will never worry for him or wonder if he’s being treated right. We have spoiled this big boy and he deserves a place where he can RUN , and be carefree. He is a herder with other animals like cows so probably not the best to let him lose in a pasture, I’m not sure if he would bite the cow or not but he definitely barks at cows 🤔 we have a very rough 4 year old who smacks him around and gets a little rough with him but he’s never ONCE offered to even growl at her. He’s still a pup so he needs running space and lots of love and attention. Only thing that comes with him is what food I have on hand, the rolling storage container for food, a $30 dog Brush that’s brand new, his collar, harness, and outdoor 15’ lead, metal food and water bowls, and any shampoo or other care items that I have along with the registration papers. The rehoming fee is $500 and non negotiable, he’s had 2 rounds of shots but due for more, we’ve probably spent a whopping 6 or 7000 on this pooch in a year and I’m determined to find him a good stable home where he will be cherished and free!
