Christmas puppies
**will upload some images later today, have to run some errands**
Litter #1 is 8 months old and are border collie / Australian shepherd mix.
Litter #2 are maybe 5 months old, not sure. They were brought to us from a bad situation and have been socializing and gaining weight for 3 months. They look to be a blue heeler mix.
The pups have been socializing in the back yard with dogs of other shapes and sizes and temperaments.
Unfortunately none of them have been vetted but I am happy to help you navigate those things as cheaply and efficiently as possible. I also can offer guidance on training and resources. I am going to start worming everyone this weekend. I had intended to do these things but I became sick for months; turns out it was a 20 week ectopic pregnancy that eventually ruptured. I’m kind of just now catching up on things.
These pups should have been in homes by now but they’re not. Instead they’ve been socializing with my children, learning how to communicate thru body language, how to be gentle and when to walk away, how to share a food bowl and run and play. Not much training but most of them are primed for it.
Some of the dogs are fit for a home-life with kids or other dogs. Some are fit for an active life with children or recreation. Some would do best with no males in a pack. Some are content with anything.
I only have a few photos to show the litter here — but after talking and narrowing down your needs, I can send more specific pics. They’re fantastic and beautiful dogs and they will desire to have a bond with your family like they have with their packs here. I’d keep every one of them if I could. Promise I’m not over-selling them. They are fit to bless families.
Reach out; let’s make some time to talk and see if we have a good fit for you and we will get you a pup for Christmas. I do not accept deposits online; you may come visit and leave the deposit and I can hold the dog until you’re ready if that’s what you’d like, but nothing online. All transactions must be done in person, for your safety and security and mine and my dogs’. Cash only. No checks. I respectfully reserve any right I have to cancel any arrangement for any reason, and I will gladly refund any amounts exchanged.
* please note that puppies chew. Just let me know and I can help you navigate the toys market.
* these puppies are not house trained but have lived outside their whole lives and if you do your job to take them out the first week, they’ll know for sure they like to potty only outside.
* these pups have never been on a leash.
* Puppies need to be crate trained. Please do this. It is extremely important. Most of the pups should adjust to it in a couple of days.
* These pups have been a part of a family and a pack that they love very much. They’ll be sad, definitely. But they’ll soon find their needs are met with you and they’ll adopt you with the same devotion. Be patient with them, don’t coddle them too much over it; instead get some hot dogs and start introducing yourself in different rooms and doing different things, inviting your dog to come and see what you do in your home, how you talk with your family, how you move around the kitchen when you cook and clean. They’ve never seen a washing machine before! What’s this thing!
* Always monitor your pup and limit their access to the whole house. Helps keep pup’s mind in a place that’s engage-able.
* Children are not fit for training animals— unless their parent is educated and able to teach their older child to teach, only an adult should train the dog. When both the dog and children are compliant, children can cue learned behaviors. Eventually children will teach their own tricks.
* It is unsafe to let a child handle treats unsupervised, especially with an unfamiliar dog.
* Be safe. Have fun. Learn and grow. Dogs are wonderful!
If you’re looking for an older dog, the Aussie Mom needs a home. She is gentle, smart, house trained, good with kids, kinda weird about cats— she likes them but doesn’t like them around the children lol. I think she’s about 2 years old. Hasn’t been fixed yet.

When dealing with breeders beware if they refuse to show the pup's parents, or if they fail to produce a certificate of vaccination and de-worming. Ask for names of other buyers who have purchased their puppies. If you suspect a puppy mill in your community, call 1-877-MILL-TIP. Vist the Humane Society for more info.
