I have 2 GP/AS LGDs needing a new home. They are siblings, can go seperate. Right about 8 months old. They've had some house training and are pretty good on the leash. I can walk them both at the same time with little effort.I'm only 135lbs. I make them sit by the door, I attach the leash, then open the door all while they stay sitting. If they are not sitting, I don't attach the leash and if they stand as I open the door, I close the door again and make them sit until I have the door open and give the, Ok command. Same in reverse. I make them "stop" at the bottom of the steps (3 steps) to the door and wait until I get the door open and give the "OK" command, go inside, make them sit, then remove the leash. I'll stay standing there holding the leash UNTIL they sit. They haven't chewed anything besides their toys which are kept in a basket, well besides the basket once they empty it all over the floor one toy at a time. LOL

Sadly I'm not home enough to give them the attention and training they deserve/need. My wife gets too busy with our youngest daughter (5) and helping our oldest daughter (21) who is pregnant. She also gets a bit scared when they mouth her hand or arm and ends up putting them out in the yard until my days off.

Chewbaca (Chewy) gets food aggressive now and then if the food bowl gets empty. Princess Laya (Laya) doesn't. Its only a now and then situation. I free feed them inside and outside. Large tub outside, normal feeders inside.

When we got them at about 2 months old, they came from a farm with Goats, Sheep, and chickens. I only have chickens and have only taken them in the chicken yard a few times, they did pretty good. Laya was more curious than Chewy was. He just layed there not caring. Laya watched the chickens. Their yard is right next to the chicken yard, only chain link between. So they do get to see me go in to feed and gather eggs on a regular basis.

As for baths, Laya does great, just stands there and lets you bathe her in the tub. Even got her to walk into the tub this last time. Chewy needs to be put in the tub, two feet at a time. He will stand there and let you bathe him but he'll put his head against you and given the chance, will get out. I just sit on the tub edge and keep pressure on his neck and he's fine.

All and all they both are great dogs. Our life is just too crazy at the moment and these breeds need more than we were expecting. I'd rather let them go to a home that has the time and energy to train them.

I'll try to get some new pictures next time I'm home. These pictures are about a month or so ago. They grow quick, so they're larger now. Last 3 pics were this morning.

My next days off I'll try to get their weight also.

Text is best, I DO NOT answer phone calls that are not saved. I'm a truck driver so it might be several hours before I can return a text.
