Historic House with Large Lot $64,900
I am told this house was built in 1847 and was bought toward the end of the Civil War by Confederate General George Dibrell, who was in charge of the Confederate archives.
The house is full of history. It has three brick chimneys, eight beautiful fire places, hardwood floors throughout, transoms above the doors, period style lighting and paint, an old stone well once used by all the occupants in the surrounding area, and beautiful old shade trees in the back...
The house does need work, as evidenced in some of the pictures. The roof has failed on the two story front porch and needs to be replaced. Other cosmetic and mechanical improvements are needed as well. The house was remodeled extensively from 2002 to 2005 including:
House jacked up and foundation repaired
New custom siding
Trim, Paint, and lighting to match 1800s
Please call Nate with any questions
The house is situated on a 1.8 acre lot and is located at 710 Country Club Rd, Sparta, TN 38583
