Consider it a huge red flag if the breeder wants to meet you some place other than their kennel, no matter what excuse they use they must be hiding something. They do not want you to see how they cared for their dogs, or how they house their dogs. A responsible breeder will want you to see where your new puppy came from, and mom should always be there for you to see, the dad may not be, sometimes they may use a male from a different kennel. They say they will send you a photo of Mom and/or Dad, the problem with that is you can only see what color they are with a photo and not good at that. You cannot see if it is happy, you can’t see if something is physically wrong.
You should always be able to visit the breeder’s kennel even if it is their home.
